District 1

District One is by far our largest, but also least populated beat in Weld County with its headquarters is located in Greeley.  District one contains Ault, Eaton, Kersey, Pierce and Windsor... all of which have their own municipal police departments.  Many of these departments provide their citizens with community or school resource officers.  However, many of the towns, such as Briggsdale, Carr, Galeton, Gill, Grover, Hereford, Keota, Nunn, Raymer, Rockport, and Severence do not have their own police departments and thus rely on the Sheriff's Office for all of their law enforcement needs.  As a county agency, the sheriff's office covers all unincorporated areas and will assist in the municipalities as requested.  District One has a lot of unincorporated area... and that is where we focus the majority of our attention.
