| Q. |
What are the licensing fees in
Weld County? |
| A. |
Weld County does not require you
to license or register your dog, if you live in unincorporated areas of
the county. Each city has their own laws regarding this, so be sure to
check with your city to find out their regulations!
It is highly recommended a microchip or collar
with tags be on all dogs in order
to reach their owners! |
| |
|
| Q. |
Is there a limit on the number of
animals I can have? |
| A. |
Yes!
Weld County has zoning ordinances that reflect the number of animal
units allowed in a particular zoned area of the county. Zone A
agriculture may have up to 4 dogs on property between 1 and 10 acres,
and no more than 8 dogs on property 10 acres or more. More than that
requires a special use permit for kenneling practices. These cases will
be referred to the Planning and Zoning Services Department.
