Thank you for your interest in employment as a Correction Officer with the Weld County Sheriff's Department. You were instructed to view this information because you have registered with the Weld County Human Resource Department for the test date listed above. 

If you are not registered and wish to take the test, please contact the Human Resource Department immediately.

The written test is general knowledge and does not require any studying.
Please expect at least four hours for testing.

After passing the written test an oral interview will be scheduled.  You will be placed on an eligibility list according to your test score.  The Sheriff's Office will begin selecting the applicants who are highest on the list and those people will be notified by telephone of the next procedure in the selection process.  This consists of a background investigation, drug screens, psychological analysis, polygraph testing, and physical fitness testing.

The Weld County Training Center is located off of North 11^th Avenue in the north Greeley Industrial Area.  Eleventh Avenue can be accessed by either Hwy 34 Business or Hwy 34 Bypass by turning north on 11^th Avenue.  (See map) The Training Center is on the corner of “H” Street and 11^th Avenue.  You will find ample parking around the Training Center Building.

Please notify Weld County Human Resources of any future address and telephone number changes, or if you cannot come for testing on the day you are scheduled.

If you qualify for Veteran Points and want to receive those points, you must provide proof of Military Service (DD214) the day of the test. Please bring a copy with you to the test site.
