“Lights for Lives”
“Lights for Lives”, is a public awareness operation that will unite all law enforcement agencies within Weld County. This operation is designed to bring awareness to citizens about the traffic related fatalities on Weld County roadways.
How times and locations will be determined:
(a) Designated locations will be chosen near or where fatal crashes have occurred. The times will be scheduled during heavy traffic times (Commuter hours 0500-0900, 1130-1300, and 1500-1800), and any additional times as determined by future traffic deaths. These times and locations will be mapped and distributed weekly (Tuesday morning).
Duration of the Operations:
The operation will run for two weeks with the same target locations. Locations and times will be modified to account for new fatalities. New locations and times will be added to the schedule disseminated to participating agencies on the following Tuesday.
The following law enforcement agencies are participating: Weld County Sheriff’s Office, Ault, Colorado State Patrol, Dacono, Eaton, Evans, Firestone, Fort Lupton, Fredrick, Greeley, Johnstown, La Salle, Milliken, Platteville, Windsor, and Weld County Communications.
