INVESTIGATIONS COLD CASE FILES Community Help Needed Weld County Sheriff’s Investigators were notified by CBI that a 1998 homicide victim had been identified. The victim’s name is Ruben Ortiz-Gutierrez, age 30, of Denver. The case originated on May 16th, 1998 when a body was found location in a dry irrigation ditch just Northeast of Del Camino. Anyone with information about the victim or the case is asked to call the Weld County Sheriff’s Office at (970) 304-6464.   Homicide Victim BABY FOUND The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information about the abandonment of a newborn infant found Wednesday morning September 11, 2002 north of Brighton, Colorado in the area of Highway 85 and Weld County Road 2 1/2. A composite sketch of the man was released of the 5-foot, 9-inch , 170-pound Latino man last wearing a red button-down shirt, blue jeans, a black baseball cap and a blue jean jacket.
