Weld Sheriff’s Office seeks info about Dodge pickup involved in numero

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with information about a silver Dodge pickup suspected of numerous thefts throughout District 3.

On Monday, deputies responded to the report of a fuel theft at the oil and gas site located near the intersection of Weld County roads 17 and 42, about six miles south of Johnstown. Once on scene, site managers provided deputies with security camera footage of an unfamiliar pickup trespassing on the property.

The video showed the silver Dodge pickup drive onto the site about 11:50 a.m. Monday and leave about 15 minutes later. The unknown driver is suspected of siphoning diesel fuel from a semi parked at the oil and gas site. Managers estimated the cost of the stolen fuel at $300.

The pickup featured Colorado license plate CFU-514, which was recently stolen out of Loveland. The pickup has been seen towing a black flatbed trailer with Arkansas license plate 129734.  

The driver is suspected of being involved in numerous thefts reported throughout District 3, which is located on the southside of the county and encompasses parts of Brighton, as well as Fort Lupton, Hudson, Lochbuie, Northglenn, Keenesburg, Roggen and Wattenburg.

Anyone who sees the pickup is asked to call 911. Anyone who has any information about the pickup, or the driver is asked to call Weld County Non-Emergency Dispatch at (970) 350-9600, option 4, and reference case number 22W011439.
