Weld County Sheriff seeks information about auto theft suspects

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with information about two auto theft suspects who earlier this week stole a pickup from a property southwest of Gilcrest.

The theft occurred during the early hours of Monday morning in the 13000 block of Weld County Road 40. One of the suspects was captured on surveillance video at the scene exiting a gray Chevy Tahoe with an unknown plate and broken rear windshield wiper. He left driving a white Ford F-350 with Colorado license plate TQP100. A second suspect drove the Tahoe from the scene.

Both suspects are described as Latino men. One was wearing dark colored work boots, blue jeans, a camouflage jacket and a red and black baseball hat with a white logo. The second suspect was wearing light colored work boots, blue jeans, a light gray hoodie and a dark colored baseball hat with a camouflage brim.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects, the vehicles or who has information about the crime is asked to call Deputy Nicolas Thompson at (970) 400-4278.

Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at www.NoCoCrimeStoppers.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward.
