Weld Sheriff issues Sexually Violent Predator Community Bulletin

Colorado Revised Statutes requires local law enforcement to notify the community when a sex offender who meets the criteria for a “Sexually Violent Predator” will be moving into and living in their community. Local law enforcement has no legal authority to prohibit sex offenders from living in a community.
Jimmy Dean Coleman meets the criteria for distinction as a Sexually Violent Predator and as such he is considered to pose a greater than normal risk to the community.

As of October 24, 2022, there are approximately 19,177 registered sex offenders in the state of Colorado. As of October 24, 2022, there are 255 sex offenders registered with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office. As of October 24, 2022, there are 412 offenders living in Colorado that meet the criteria for Sexually Violent Predator, 2 of them live in Unincorporated Weld County.
