The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with information about three goats stolen from a rural property near Severance.

On Thursday, deputies responded to a cold theft call in the 8700 block of Weld County Road 80.5. Deputies learned from the owners three Boer show goats were stolen from the property sometime last night.

The three stolen show goats are all female. One of the three is pregnant. The pregnant goat has unique tattoos on its ears. The other two goats are microchipped.

The goats are well taken care of, and the owner is hoping for the immediate return for the animals’ safety.

The attached photos are not of the missing goats, but members of the herd that are still at the property. The missing goats are similarly marked and therefore easily identifiable. If found, the microchips can also be read to verify ownership.

Anyone with information about the stolen goats is asked to call Deputy Brian Fortin at (970) 400-4288.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is asked to call the Weld County Sheriff’s Office at (970) 356-4015 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at www.crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward.
