Weld Sheriff seeks fugitive wanted for child sex crimes in Garden City

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a Greeley man wanted on multiple warrants for child sex crimes.

Leo Toby Martinez, 50, with a last known address of 1530 3rd Ave. in Greeley, has active warrants for sex assault on a child out of Garden City and La Junta County. At least one of the victims was under the age of 15. Martinez is currently number two on the Weld County Sheriff’s Office’s Most Wanted list.

Martinez is described as a Latino man standing 6 feet tall and weighing 195 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Martinez’s whereabouts is asked to call Weld’s fugitive tip line at (970) 304-6565 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS. Tips can also be sent by email to warrants@weldgov.com.

And don’t forget about Weld’s number one most wanted suspect, Colton Thompson. Thompson, 34, of Weld County, is the subject of numerous criminal investigations by the sheriff’s office and several neighboring agencies.

Thompson has an active second-degree assault warrant stemming from a recent domestic violence incident in addition to being the focus of several active criminal investigations. The sheriff’s office has already received multiple tips about Thompson. Please keep those tips coming.

Thompson has ties to Weld, Larimer and Boulder counties, as well as the Denver metro area. Anyone with information about Thompson or his whereabouts is asked to call or email using the same information as above.
