Weld Sheriff informing public about 2 sexually violent predators who have moved into the community

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is informing the community about two sexually violent predators who have recently moved into the community.

Colorado Revised Statutes requires local law enforcement to notify the community when a sex offender who meets the criteria for a “Sexually Violent Predator” will be moving into and living in their community.  Local law enforcement has no legal authority to prohibit sex offenders from living in a community.

JAMES ALLAN SIDENER meets the criteria for distinction as a Sexually Violent Predator and as such he is considered to pose a greater than normal risk to the community.

NAME: JAMES ALLEN SIDENER

AGE: 70

DESCRIPTION: W/M 6’00”, 190 LBS, GREY HAIR, GREEN EYES

ADDRESS: 1819 BIRCH AVENUE, GREELEY, CO  80631

OCCUPATION: UNEMPLOYED

VEHICLES: NONE

CONVICTION INFORMATION: SEX ASSAULT CHILD – ATTEMPTED

CRIMINAL JUSTICE STATUS: SIDENER IS NOT UNDER PAROLE/PROBATION

CHRISTOPHER JAMES CELESTINO also meets the criteria for distinction as a Sexually Violent Predator and as such he is considered to pose a greater than normal risk to the community.

OCCUPATION: MECHANIC

VEHICLES: BLACK CHEV TRUCK & BLACK CHEV SUV

CONVICTION INFORMATION: 4 COUNTS OF SEX ASSAULT CHILD – ATTEMPTED

CRIMINAL JUSTICE STATUS: CELESTINO IS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF PAROLE


GENERAL INFORMATION

As of January 08, 2021, there are approximately 19,929 registered sex offenders in the state of Colorado. As of January 8, 2021, there are 257 sex offenders registered with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office.  As of January 8, 2021, there are 321 offenders living in Colorado that meet the criteria for Sexually Violent Predator, 2 of them live in Unincorporated Weld County.  The status and location of Sexually Violent Predators are posted on the Colorado Bureau of Investigation’s website http://sor.state.co.us.  Local websites for certain registered sex offenders and any additional information can be accessed at www.weldsheriff.com or www.sotar.us.
