Greeley Police Department - Officer Involved Shooting Update
On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, Officers with the Greeley PoliceSuspect Photo  Department were involved in a shooting that occurred in the 4000 block of 7th Street, in Greeley, Colorado.

The suspect was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died. The suspect in this incident has been identified by the Weld County Coroner’s Office as 45-year-old, Thomas Junior Garcia, of Greeley, Colorado.

In accordance with the Greeley Police Department policies and procedures, the officers involved in the shooting will be placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.

The Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) is investigating this incident, and all media requests will be handled by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer. This is an active investigation and details will be released as they become available.
