Weld County Sheriff’s Office asking for public’s help identifying shooting suspects

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying three men suspected of being involved in a shooting last night that sent five people to the hospital.

The shooting occurred about 11:30 p.m. at a house near Weld County Road 2 (168th Avenue) and Starr Lane just north of Brighton.

All three men are described as being in their early 20s. One man was described by witnesses as Latino with bowl cut hair with a faded side.

The second suspect was described as African American with puffy hair up in a bun, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and t-shirt.

The third suspect was described as African American wearing crimped long hair in a bun.

Weld County Sheriff’s Office investigating shooting at house north of Brighton

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an overnight shooting that occurred at a house just north of Brighton city limits.

At 11:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at an address near Weld County Road 2 (168th Avenue) and Starr Lane. Five people were shot during the incident. They were all taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses at the scene described the suspects as three men. One of the men was described as Latino, 20 to 22 years of age with bowl cut hair with a faded side.   

The second man was described as African American in his early 20s with puffy hair up in a bun, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and t-shirt.

The third man was described as African American also in his early 20s wearing crimped long hair in a bun.  

The suspects were driving a silver four-door sports car, possibly a Dodge Charger. Witnesses said there were two women also in the car with the three suspects.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office. No arrests had been made as of 5:30 a.m. Sunday. However, investigators do not believe there is any danger posed to the public at large at this time.
