Detention Deputy Arrested for Unlawful Sexual Conduct on an Inmate
On Friday, February 23, 2018, during the evening hours, the WeldBooking Photo County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of possible sexual conduct that occurred within the Weld County North Jail Complex, located at 2110 O Street, in Greeley, Colorado.

Allegations of ongoing sexual conduct were made against Zachariah Allen Cullison DOB 04/12/1991; who has been a detention deputy since August 2016. The allegation was made that Cullison allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a female inmate, off security camera view, in a housing unit restroom. It was alleged that the interaction between Cullison and the female inmate was consensual.

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office immediately started an investigation into the allegation. As a result of this investigation, Cullison was arrested today on charges of Sexual Conduct in a Correctional Institution (Class 5 Felony).

Sheriff Steve Reams stated, “People expect to be able to trust law enforcement in every capacity. When a deputy breaks and violates public trust then they should be handled with the full force of the law.”

In addition to the criminal investigation, an internal investigation has also been started, and Cullison has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of his court proceedings. This is an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time. All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in a court of law.
