Individual Arrested for Multiple Thefts

On Friday, November 15, 2019, deputies with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest of an individual involved in multiple thefts and
burglaries.

On November 2, 2019, deputies with the Weld County Sheriff's Office began investigating a series of vehicle and trailer thefts that occurred in 
unincorporated Weld County. These events happened between 11/02 and 11/15.
  Deputies learned that the Eaton Police Department and Greeley
Police Department were also investigating a series of thefts that occurred in their jurisdiction. One witness to these thefts reported seeing a young
Hispanic male with 3 dots close to his left eye, which were described as moles or a tattoo.
 

Deputies were later able to identify the suspect as 19-year-old, Dion Estala. Deputies completed a search warrant and were able to obtain multiple
items that were stolen throughout the crime spree.

 

Dion Estala is being charged with Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft (x7), 1st Degree Criminal Trespass, Theft (x3) and Criminal Trespass on Agricultural
Land. Estala is currently in custody at the Weld County Jail.

 

All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in a court of law. No other information will be released at this time.
