Officer Involved Shooting update

This press release is being distributed on behalf of the 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team.

At approximately 1341 hours, on January 16, 2019, Fort Lupton officers were involved in a shooting after responding to a disturbance in the 600 block of 14th St in Fort Lupton, Colorado.

The 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team was activated to handle this investigation.

During this incident, one Officer from the Fort Lupton Police Department was involved in a police shooting in which one adult male suspect was declared dead at the scene.

The officer involved has been placed on paid administrative leave by the Fort Lupton Police Department pending the outcome of this investigation.

The 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team is looking for any information that will further this investigation.
