Tank Battery Incident

On May 25, 2017, at approximately 3:15 pm, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area near HWY 66 and WCR 13 to a report of an oil tank battery that was on fire.

When law enforcement personnel arrived on scene they found that an Anadarko oil tank battery was fully engulfed in flame. Preliminary information suggests that maintenance was possibly being performed on the site when the incident happened.

This is an active incident, and information is limited. More information will be released as it becomes available.
