Pan Handler Arrested

Robert GillamOn July 26, 2017, at approximately 8:30 am, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of I-25 and HWY 119 to a report of a possible sex assault in progress.

When the deputy arrived on scene, he found that a transient who was panhandling in the area had exposed himself to multiple motorists and passengers as they handed him money, one of whom was a child. 

Robert Gillam (12/17/1948) was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Indecent Exposure and 1 count of Child abuse.  He is currently in custody at the Weld County Jail.

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the community to avoid making contact with individuals who are panhandling on the side of the road.

All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in a court of law.
