Stabbing on Weld County Parkway leads to Arrests
On Thursday, June 14, 2018, at approximately 3:09 pm, Deputies with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office along with Kersey Police Department responded to a report of a party who had been stabbed on Weld County Parkway and Highway 34, in Kersey. The Kersey Police Department requested the Weld County Sheriff’s Office assist in the investigation.

When deputies arrived on scene they found an adult male who was suffering from a stab wound to the leg. The male was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital in serious condition. The name of the victim will not be release by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office. The victim is currently in stable condition.

Deputies were provided with a suspect vehicle description. A short time later the vehicle was located in the 1200 block of 4th Street, in Eaton. Deputies along with the help of Eaton Police Department set up a perimeter around the residence and without further incident took four individuals into custody.

29-year-old, Matias Keva Hetzel, of Greeley, was arrested and charged with: Assault in the first degree (F3), Tampering with physical evidence (F6), WCSO warrant for failure to appear on a weapon offense charge and a Garden City Police Department warrant for failure to comply on a theft charge.

22-year-old, Brain Gene Gray, of Eaton, was arrested and charged with: Assault in the First Degree (F3) and Tampering with Physical Evidence (F6).

24-year-old, Katarina Michelle Snider, of Greeley, was arrested and charged with: Assault in the first degree (F3) and Tampering with physical evidence (F6) and a WCSO warrant for failure to comply with terms and conditions of work release.

43-year-old, Cameron Mitchell Ryan, of Greeley, was arrested and charged with: Assault in the first degree (F3) and Tampering with physical evidence (F5).

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a full investigation. All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in a court of law.
