Weld County Sheriff's Deputies Involved in Pursuit
On Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at approximately 6:03 pm, A deputySuspect Photo with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, saw a light-yellow Ford F-150, traveling at a high rate speed on Weld County Road 46 at Weld County Road 45, near LaSalle. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and saw three occupants inside the truck. Two of the passengers exited the vehicle to care for their dog and spoke with another deputy who was on scene.

The driver of the truck provided a false name and had no Colorado identification. He became agitated and hostile towards the deputy, placed the truck in drive and drove away at a high rate of speed.

A short pursuit ensued, the driver of the truck was driving in a reckless manner and throwing objects outside the window. The driver then slammed his brakes, put the truck in reverse and rammed into the front of the deputy’s patrol car, causing damage. The deputy was not injured. The driver continued to eluded deputies recklessly eastbound on Weld County Road 44 and attempted to strike two oncoming vehicles. For the safety of the public the pursuit was ended.

At approximately 7:30 pm, deputies were notified that Fort Lupton Police Department had become involved in a pursuit with the same Ford truck and had the driver in custody. The driver was identified as 41-year-old Joseph Hall of Fort Lupton. Hall was arrested and charged by the Fort Lupton Police Department.
