Weld County Sheriff’s Office Strike Team Theft Recovery

 

William ScottThe Weld County Sheriff’s Office Strike Team has been investigating multiple cases involving stolen equipment from various oil and gas sites in unincorporated Weld County, Mead and New Raymer.  We are happy to report that arrests have been made in these investigations that resulted in the recovery of approximately $13,000 worth of stolen equipment that included the following items:  57 Crestone Energy batteries, 18 Noble Energy batteries, 9 Anadarko batteries, 3 Whiting Oil & Gas Corp batteries, 3 Crestone Energy solar panels, 2 Anadarko solar panels, 6 Crestone Energy controllers, 3 Noble controllers as well as an amount of black tar heroin

Corey BurnsedWilliam Patrick Scott (08/28/78) of Keenesburg and Corey Burnsed (03/26/86) of Brighton were arrested on June 27, 2017.  Scott has been charged with Theft, Possession of a Schedule II substance and Tampering with Oil and Gas Equipment.  Burnsed has been charged with Theft and Tampering with Oil and Gas Equipment.

All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in a court of law.
