Ride Along Program

The Weld County Sheriff's Office offers a Ride Along program for residents looking to experience daily life of a deputy on patrol.

Residents interested in riding along with a deputy must complete an online application for individuals 18 and older or a PDF application for minors who are at least 16 and not yet 18 years old.

To qualify for the Ride Along program the following must be met:

1. Applicant must be at least 16 years old or an active member of the Sheriff’s Explorer Post.
2. If you are at least 16 years old and not yet 18 years old, please download, save, and complete the Citizen Ride Along Form for Minors(PDF, 265KB) pdf form. You must have a parent or legal guardian sign the form. Minors may only ride during daylight hours.
3. Adult ride alongs must be complete by 10:00 p.m. unless special permission of the Sheriff is granted.
