30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and sexual assault

On Jul. 26, 2025, at approximately 5:08 p.m. WCSO patrol was dispatched to 3820 Highway 119, the Travel Lodge in Weld County, CO 80504 in reference a sexual assault that was initially reported to the Commerce City Police. The responding WCSO patrol deputy was able to establish the alleged sexual assault occurred in WCSO’s jurisdiction.

31-year-old man arrested on suspicion of statutory rape

On Aug.15, 2025 at approximately 4:40 A.M. patrol deputies were dispatched to a sexual assault at a residence near Highway 34 and Weld County Road 47.5, in Weld County. The call indicated a sexual assault was in-progress and involved a 15-year-old female juvenile victim. Emilson Lopez-Mejia, 31, who is related to the victim, was later identified as the suspect.

Debisa Ephraim, 21, will be released from the Weld County jail today per Colorado statute. Competency was raised in two of his criminal cases, and the courts found in July of this year his competency could not be restored, and therefore he would not be able to stand trial.
