Weld County Sheriff's Office Deputy Sam Brownlee, 43, died in the line of duty on Nov. 23, 2010.

Deputy Earl Bucher - EOW 12/31/1940

Deputy Earl Bucher, 45, was shot and killed on Dec. 31, 1940, when he responded to a domestic dispute at a house, or beet shack, six miles south of Elwell.
