WCSO Detentions Deputy arrested for sexual conduct in a correctional facility by an employee
[Greeley, CO] Jacob Golden, 30, was arrested on July 15, 2025, on two felony counts of sexual conduct in a correctional facility by an employee, after it was alleged that he had sexual intercourse with a female inmate at the Weld County Jail.
The alleged conduct occurred between Golden and a 27-year-old female inmate at the Weld County Jail between the dates of July 12 and 14 of 2025 while Golden was on duty. When the Sheriff’s Office learned of his conduct, an investigation was immediately launched, and Golden was arrested before his next scheduled shift. WCSO detectives learned of the allegations on July 15, 2025, when another inmate reported the incident to another detention’s deputy.
Golden is a post-certified detentions deputy, who has worked in the jail for 4 years. He is currently on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation, followed by an internal investigation.
People expect to be able to trust law enforcement. The actions of Golden are unacceptable and disturbing to the conscience. The Sheriff’s Office took swift action to ensure that this incident is properly investigated.
Golden was given a $20,000 cash/surety bond at approximately 4:00 pm today and is still in custody.
This matter is still under investigation, and no further information can be released at this time.
All charges are merely accusations until, and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
