[Weld County, Colo] WCSO patrol deputies arrested 24-year-old Geovany Velasquez-Vicente on suspicion of criminal impersonation after their investigation revealed he was using another person’s information for employment at a local Weld County business for approximately six months.
A patrol deputy responded to the 3500 block of 35th Ave in Weld County and met with the victim who reported he received a document in the mail that caused him to suspect his identity was stolen. The victim called a business named in the document he received in the mail and was able to confirm someone was using his personal information to work at the business.
Additional deputies responded to the business located in the 28500 block of Weld County Road 72. Deputies met with an office employee who confirmed the victim’s information was being used by one of their employees who was on duty at that time.
Deputies contacted the suspect, Geovany Velasquez-Vicente, and through their investigation they developed probable cause to arrest him.
