[Weld County, Colo] On Apr. 27, 2022, Weld County Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to the 3300 block of First Ave in unincorporated Weld County regarding a death investigation. Prior to the discovery of the females remains this was an unimproved wooded area.

Detectives contacted the reporter, an unhoused female, who had discovered the skeletonized remains of a female. The remains were later sent to a forensic anthropologist who determined the female was 30–58-years-old, Caucasian, between 5’02 and 5’06 tall, and she had at least one child.

The clothing the deceased female was wearing at the time is described as:

  • An unknown color sports bra
  • A black t-shirt depicting a tattooed Marilyn Monroe with a bandanna around her head holding a gun, with the word, “Respect” written in cursive on the front of the t-shirt.
  • A red hooded sweatshirt that had the word, “Lifeguard” on the front and on the sleeves and a white medical cross on the front of the sweatshirt.
  • A black hooded sweatshirt with the number 17 in the background and the word, “Senior” across the number 17 in the foreground.
