[Weld County, COLO.] Yesterday, Weld County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 23-year-old Diego Ojeda following two separate theft investigations.
On May 24, a theft was reported to patrol in the 24300 block of Weld County Road 63. The victim alleged approximately $4,000 to $5,000 worth of pipe was stolen. Patrol received a second theft report from a business near Weld County Road 41 and Weld County Road 26. The incident occurred on May 30 and involved the theft of industrial steel pipes valued at approximately $1,500.
Through surveillance footage and other investigative means deputies were able to develop probable cause, and arrest Ojeda yesterday in connection with both theft cases. He faces charges of:
