[Weld County, COLO.] Weld County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) patrol deputies arrested a 22-year-old man last Saturday following an investigation into a shots fired call.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. WCSO patrol deputies responded to a report of a shots fired call. Call notes indicated a male reportedly armed with a shotgun was in the area of Weld County Roads 31 and 18 in the Aristocrat Ranchettes subdivision, near Fort Lupton. The call notes also indicated the male was reportedly intoxicated and had fired the gun one time.

A WCSO patrol sergeant found the male suspect at Weld County Road 31 and Caroline Ave reportedly still armed with the shotgun. The male suspect was later identified Imanol Pineda-Hernandez.

During the investigation, deputies suspected Pineda-Hernandez was intoxicated and developed probable cause to arrest him on suspicion of:

  • Weapon-Prohibited Use-Drunk with Gun
  • Disorderly Conduct-Discharge Firearm in Public

The sheriff’s office is grateful that no one was injured during the incident, and that it was resolved safely.

All charges are merely accusations, and a defendant is presumed innocent until, unless proven guilty in a court of law. ###
